Barnikle was started in the dark ages, when it was just the two big cats, Barney and Nik, who provided the fodder for the blog. Barnikle is just a combination of their names … it made sense at the time Back then it was subtitled, It’s just pictures of the cats, and that’s really all it was. There have been a few different versions of the blog which have disappeared into the great unknown (you really, really should always back up your work).

Now we use barnikle to keep our family and friends up to date with pictures of the children (and sometimes the cats ).

The camera we use the most is a Canon EOS 30D (with the occasional dodgy picture taken on my phone when the situation requires it).
